Microsoft announced some great news recently that it is planning to build datacentres in Canada to host its Cloud services, including Azure, Office 365 and CRM Online.
That’s a welcome announcement for a lot of businesses, non-profits and government organizations who were holding off utilizing Microsoft Cloud services because the datacentres are located south of the border. The new Canadian datacentres in Quebec City and Toronto are expected to come online fully in 2016, with some initial availability later this year.
Here’s what that means for small and medium-size businesses and non-profits. This is now one less obstacle to move some of your IT services and infrastructure into the Cloud.
Most of our clients are taking advantage of Microsoft’s Cloud services such as Office 365 for a number of reasons, including:
Reducing their spend on IT infrastructure (fewer servers and software)
Moving IT spend from capital expenditures to operating expenses
Improving mobility – staff can work easily from anywhere on any device
Boosting productivity by utilizing Cloud email, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote and Lync for Business.
Improving the flexibility and scalability of their businesses
Doing a big modernization of their IT systems without a big cost
If you’re not using Office 365 yet for your business, you are missing a big opportunity to improve efficiency and productivity.
Give us a call and we’ll tell you about how many businesses and non-profits are implementing Cloud solutions. We would be happy to setup an Office 365 demo.
